This Glossary consists of pages extracted from The Works of John Knox, Ed. David Laing (1845) Vol 2, p 603-618. It provides explanation of the 17C language used in most of the verbatim quotes on this site.
A tip: – spelling was basically phonetic and varied widely, but say the
word over to yourself and you may well get its `sounds like` meaning.
